Sandstorm Beach Club has been the hub of beach volleyball in Brisbane since 2005, originally founded and developed by Australian 5x Beach Volleyball Olympian, Natalie Cook OAM OLY.
Sandstorm is a licensed venue with 8 full sized beach volleyball courts, the largest of it’s kind in Australia!
Every week there is an abundance of activities including social league, training sessions, court hire, private functions and sports club celebrations just to name a few. Sandstorm is the perfect venue choice for any occasion & has a huge amenities building with hot & cold showers. Conveniently located in the QSAC precinct with plenty of free parking, welcoming hundreds of players and visitors each week participating in organised leagues, tournaments and events.
Sandstorm is a family run business, owned and operated by Australian Beach Volleyball Olympian, Matt Grinlaubs and his wife, Jodi. Whether it be playing, training, coaching, mentoring or even serving you a drink from the kiosk, with over 30 years experience in beach volleyball, Matt is always at hand to answer any questions you may have.

We can facilitate food trucks, jumping castle, mechanical bull, photo booth and DJ’s (just to name a few) for your event. Use our sound system to play your favourite tunes and with access to large fridges our venue is ideal for any occasion of both large and smaller groups.
