Private coaching

For those looking to learn on a 1-on-1 basis or in smaller groups, private coaching is available by request.

Private coaching is perfect for players trying to get maximum improvement out of their game in a much smaller window of time. Whether you're a professional or a beginner, individual attention will allow you to achieve your goals faster than any other method of training.

Private lessons may also the most efficient way for you to iron out any bad habits in technique that have accrued over the years.

Private coaches available:
Lauren McLeod, Dan Carey, Brenden Turner, Sarah Maxwell, Steve Anderson, Adam Blackburn and Stewart Polsoni

International athletes

Your season may be over in the Northern hemisphere but continue your training in beautiful Brisbane, Australia at Sandstorm's 8 court beach volleyball facility.

Purpose built for a training ground for Olympic gold medallist Natalie Cook, we have a world class facility to cater for your training needs.

Junior coaching programs

We have pathways of development from 3 year olds all the way to aspiring Olympic athletes.  To start with the young ones, Sandstorm Beach Club have junior coaching programs for the following age brackets.

Ages 3-6 with Sesame Street playtime

Children and schools can come and have fun in the sand here at Sandstorm Beach Club, where Natalie and the Sesame Street characters will help children learn how to play beach volleyball, develop fundamental motor skills, and be educated on how to live an active, healthy life.

Four of the Sesame Street characters will each be depicted playing one of the various movements in beach volleyball – Dig, Spike, Set and Serve – and Sesame Street badges and prizes will be provided to participants.

Ages 7-12 with SpikeZone

SpikeZone is national participation program aimed at providing 7-12 year olds the opportunity to experience the sport of beach volleyball.  Endorsed by the Australian Sports Commission, Spikezone modifies the sport of beach volleyball to better cater for the needs of this age group.  These changes include a smaller sized court, a lower net height, a softer and lighter ball, 4 players on the court as well as slight changes to the rules.
