Beach Netball
It’s one of Australia’s favorite sports with a beach twist. All the fun of netball but with simpler rules, mixed teams and fun in the sand! Beach netball is a great workout. It’s also low impact, really easy to pick up and played with under pumping music in Sandstorm’s fun, social atmosphere! We’ve modified the rules to make it easier for newer players to get into but experienced netball players will still find it still offers a great challenge.
- 5 players on each side
- No fixed positions or offside rules so no bibs are required!
- Anyone can score a goal
- Removal of thirds passing rule and replaced with a simplified "Defense Zone"
- Slightly relaxed travel rule to allow for the sand movement and make it low impact friendly.
Most other netball rules still apply. Depending on the standard of play, our referees tweak the nitty gritty rules such as 3 second passing and contacts to make it more social friendly.
